Polls. Reliable Polls
Do they exist?

Much of the "negative" coverage of the war was blamed on the "if it bleeds it leads" mentality of sensationalizing news coverage. Personally, I don't think sensationalize war coverage because it really is just that horrific but I understand the complaint that the more emotionally ramped-up people become the longer they tune in to a given news source. The RW was just upset because that phenomenon casts a light on what they would prefer to be a painless narrative.

But I digress.

I can give *some* news outlets the benefit of the doubt by acknowledging the fact they want/need viewers. If they add a fife and drum corps to the band wagon parade they get to claim a percentage of whatever emotion is carrying the day.

But that isn't journalism.

Maybe it isn't nefarious but it is self-serving and less than fact-based.

So what polling sources would you recommend for someone--say, for example, a young progressive girl's conservative husband--that could survive an objective critique?
