Subject: NM USATTY - urgent issue
Importance: High
I just received a telephone call from Steve Bell, Sen. Domenici's CoS, who urgently
reported the following:
1. Outgoing USATTY David Iglesias is holding a press conference at 11:30 Eastern this
morning.
2. He is allegedly going to say that he was contacted by two Members of Congress last
Fall regarding the investigation-into the courthouse constructizn corruption case.
Information on this is in the following article:
http://www.abqtrib.com/news/2006/dec/19/federal-attorney-plans-step-dom-iglesiasinvest
ig/
, 3. He is allegedly going to say that the Members urged him to deliver indictments
'before November's election. He will further say that one of the Members, frustrated with
his answer, hung up on him in anger.
4 . He is allegedly going to link these phone calls with the current news - saying that
he believes this ultimately led to his being asked to resign by DOJ.
Bell said Domenici's idea is not to respond, and hopefully make this a one day story.
They have already been contacted by McClatchey Unfortunately, I do not think that they
can make an allegation such as this go away so easily. They have not confirmed to the
reporter they were one of the Members.

1. Lions and Tigers and Iglesias! Oh my
Edited on Tue May-22-07 05:55 PM by DearAbby
It appears that Iglesias ruffled feathers by not being a team player, and he took it further...he actually had the nerve to stand up and report it.

On Edit...KR << Who else could it be?

8. Yeah, it's Dana Perino. The names are styled last name,
first name, middle initial, semicolon.

3. There is only ONE KR @ georgewbush.com and that would be the ball crusher Rove
It's really telling how upset they were when the USA's started telling their side of the story.

A lot of "we need TALKERS" emails to get their stories straight.

5. Actually, Iglesis violated the law by not reporting this in a timely manner
It came out later when his personal feathers were ruffled by the excuse, poor performance.
So, it is okay for Republicans to violate the law in front of a Republican USA, but don't pee on his shoe! RIGHT.

Iglesias still has to answer for his failure to report the crime committed by the Republican Senator from NM, Pete Domenici.
I'm guessing Gonzales will not be arresting him.

7. It looks as though there was A LOT of violations within the GOP
David didn't report the phone call from Domenici or Wilson, I wonder why?

Do you think he feared for his job, and didn't want to rock the boat?

The DOJ violated the law when they claimed he was an absentee landlord. He was serving his country. That is a direct violation of the law. But apparently the GOP is ABOVE THE LAW...
