Why Can't We Harness All This Enthusiasm At This Rally And Turn It Into A Poliitical Party Like .
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 12:25 PM by global1
the tea party? I'm blown away by the size of the crowd and its enthusiasm. Why can't this energy be channeled for good and be turned into a movement. I actually teared up listening to the National Anthem by the Four Troops. I hope we hear from them again. Don't anyone tell me that we don't have an energized base out there. I think we're going to be surprised at the results of this election Tuesday.

1. Because the people there don't have a politics...
...they have an attitude, or a vibe, or a tribe, or a lifestyle, or something.

But they don't have a politics. Which you need to build a party on.

This is the opposite of a rally. It's 200,000 or whatever Nader voters who think all politicians are crooks, that the whole thing is a shuck and a farce and that they're all too cool for school.

Build a party on that.

10. What You Are Saying Is That They Have Their Sanity......
but I don't believe that those people at this rally don't have politics or aren't political.

Though Stewart and Cobert make fun of both parties their message has resonated with the people. Stewart and Cobert really illustrate how the MSM and 24 hour news cycle distorts. They have exposed that. They lay out politics, politicians, talking heads and the media for all to see. They show us the hypocrisy, phoniness and folly of politics.

These are the people (the ones at this rally and those of us that support this rally) that want their country back.

Why can't this enthusiasm be channeled into candidates that will take that message to the beltway and really attempt to bring back sanity to the process?

2. Because they can't either. The Tea Party isn't a party,
it's the Hezbollah wing of the Republican Party. I've never met a Teabagger who wasn't a Republican -- they ALL vote a straight Puke ticket.

the other BS that attaches to the tea party/Beck model?

Progressive voters are more intelligent than the tea party lot. They don't need to express overt emotions in order to go out and cast a vote. Acting like a bunch of rabid dogs doesn't mean you're more committed to voting. It just means you're rabid.

Ever heard of the Silent Majority?
