I'm watching local programming for the first time in a while |
|
I had to... College football game on ABC. OMG the political ads afterwards!
I'm glad there aren't any sharp objects around....
And I'm not talking about the Spartans' loss to the Hawkeyes.

3. They hit me like a ton of bricks once the game was over |
|
Right when the news broadcast started.
I'm tempted to change the channel for an hour if that shit starts up again

2. Tell me about it. I only have local TV, so this is getting really old. |
|
And all I have been hearing on the streets is how bad the ads from the Dems are. Huh? Not what I am seeing. I can't wait for Tuesday! The only good things about this is that it must be putting lots of money into the local TV market.

4. most everything you could want in on the web now |
|
I canceled my satellite service about 6 months ago and won't ever go back. No reason to
Even stuff I can't watch "live" I can catch the next day on Hulu or the station's site. Some shows make you wait longer but not many. Others are up in a couple of hours.
As long as you are not still on dial up you should be able to watch most anything you want.

7. That is what I am told. But I only have a laptop, and an old old TV. |
|
So I have no idea how I could hook this up to watch on the TV, and can only go so long watching in the laptop. One day, if the TV ever dies (but been going fine since the early 80's), I will make more effort to hook it all together. This TV is great, it was so cutting edge at the time, cable-ready and remote controlled, yes, no more knobs to turn, no need for the exercise of getting up to change the channels.

Back when I still watched TV I cut out almost all commercials by recording and then fast forwarding..
I watched a recorded broadcast of the Isle of Man TT motorcycle races the other day, first thing I've watched in months, I still haven't lost my touch on the FF button. :)
