2. Looks like a shot from the top of the Washington Monument?
I have been up there in the viewing area before (way before they had closed it, renovated it, etc, and finally reopened it).

4. Thanks! I was there, about 75 ft behind the last screen on the left!
Great picture, but unfortunately it doesn't show the MANY people who were on the sides of the mall, like those standing on the steps of the National Museum of Art. . .

7. I see green on the left side. There was no green on the left side
Edited on Sat Oct-30-10 09:11 PM by underpants
I was 200 feet from the from top monitor on the left side and there wasn't even room for shadows to hit the ground.

8. I think that green is from the trees
The people are underneath it.

Local news said metro stated they usually have 180k riders by 3PM on a normal saturday, they had over 400k today. Thats just metro riders, not to mention all the buses, walkers, and drivers.

13. Holy shit! I thought I was far away, but judging from that picture
I was closer than 80% of the people there.

I was just to the left of that picture, right behind the horizontal blocked off road. I had absolutely no idea the crowd extended that far back. Insane!

small. Awesome.
