How would the media report it if Dems kept both House and Senate?

Would they say that "everyone" was wrong?

Would they blame it on cellphones not being polled?

Would they admit they were simply wrong?

Would they say it was because Obama campaigned so hard in the last few days?

Would you laugh your ass off?

:-)

2. Unions rigged the voting machines, ACORN brought in illegal voters, Black Panthers interfered...
Stuff like that.

It's already happening in advance of election day.

25. and yes there would be market "adjustment"
as the common knowledge is that what was predicted would result in gridlock. Which in general is good for markets because it provides a solid backdrop of knowable factors. ie, nothing would happen to affect the markets.

11. It could happen.....
I would be one happy person....The media sucks.... they need to be humbled,if we hope to regain some control over our Representatives.
Until they give news that informs intelligently, the people will never unite in one voice. Of course, that may be the plan.

28. I hope it does happen.
Unfortunately, the media won't be humbled, even tho' they should be. They'll just continue on their merry way, trying to tell us all what to think.

Somehow, I don't think the founders envisioned this when they talked about freedom of the press.

This is an exact replay of the 1994 strategy that saw Gingrich assume power.
Expect a government shutdown and investigations of the President.

14. They will just play up how many seats were lost. "Dems Keep
Majority By the Skin of Their Teeth" or some such nonsense. The narrative would still be about how voters were frustrated and showed that frustration by electing more Republicans.

24. Bingo.
And the narrative will be that Democrats lost seats because they were too liberal, and Obama needs to govern as a centrist.

17. Republican Strategic Success!
Every time the incumbent party loses in the midterm, they win re-election to a second term. Look at 82. 94. By throwing the midterms, the republicans guarantee they will defeat the democrats in '12.
