Pennsylvania voters are getting robocalls from Sarah Palin this weekend urging them to vote for (presumably) Republican candidates. Politico has the story, as well as the transcript below.
We hate to refudiate the former Alaska governor, but the start of her message includes an error -- Pennsylvania, unlike many other states, does not offer early voting. It only allows absentee voting, and only under certain circumstances. (And the deadline for mailing such ballots was last Tuesday anyway.)
If you're keeping score at home that would be her second screwup on the Pa Senate race in a row, after calling on voters to support (West Virginia's) John Raese in Pa.
Here's the robocall transcript:
"Hellooo Pennsylvania, this is Sarah Palin urging you to go to the polls on Tuesday or, even better, vote early," she says in the recording. "We have some simple choices this year. America needs a return to conservative, common sense and time-tested truths. We need leaders who believe in smaller government, lower taxes, stronger families and a robust, unapologetic national defense.
“The momentum is on our side, but it isn’t over until the polls close, so please go to the polls and vote for the candidates who share your values. Urge your friends and family to vote, too.
“Thank you and God bless you.”
