Elections are like interviewing candidates for a job. |
|
Let's say you own or manage a business. You're just recovering from the worst economic period in your company's history. Now, things have improved to where you are hiring.
You call in a group of candidates for interviews. This group constantly expressed contempt toward your company and offered nothing constructive except to suggest trying the practices that nearly brought your company down. During the interviews, you could tell that these candidates did no research on your company, what it does and how it operates. Some brought firearms to the interview because it's their constitutional right. They were argumentative, showed no inclination to listen and displayed no teamwork skills. Their contempt for workplace safety would also make them a liability to your company.
Speaking as someone who facilitates job placements and interviews, this is what the teabaggers and many Republicans remind me of. They express that they want no government in our lives, yet, they have no problem trying to get a paycheck from the government by running for office. They have shown no fundamental knowledge of this nation and its constitution. They advocate economic policies that nearly destroyed our economy. They came into this campaign season with their "my way or the highway" attitude. And persons attending their functions are physically assaulted.
Would you hire people like this to work for your company?
Then, why would you vote for a teabagger to run our states or country?

1. Elections are the hiring process |
|
Debates, newspaper editorial interviews, and events with Q&A are the job interviews.
