1. I will give you a quick rundown: |
|
1. Attendance denial (Glenn Beck had more people!) 2. Generic bullshit regarding "hippies" and "hygiene" 3. Typical comments about "they just came for the free concerts" "bussing in union thugs" etc. 4. Speculation as to the pervasiveness of marijuana smoke 5. It was political 6. Yusef Islam is a MUSLIM!
Those are probably the most prominent themes, with some (very few) acknowledging the size of the crowd, and others (even fewer) who noticed that the music was good, and the rhetoric was quite deliberately not incendiary. These tiny voices of reason are generally ignored, if not outright attacked.

2. I was there - at least 200K people, very clean cut normal looking crowd for the most part, |
|
I didn't see a single person who was just there for the entertainment, of course it was political, but it wasn't partisan, Yusef was AMAZING, and yes, I smelled a little reefer but not much lol.
It was amazing.

I mentioned to a few peers that it felt like a mini Woodstock without the drugs and rain... they all agreed! ...felt like I was 16 again; it was fantastic and I wept a bit at the sheer awesomeness of the event. All happy, healthy, generous, kindly people in attendance

5. That's what I saw on TV |
|
And very clever signs, with no misspellings. :-)
But of course you know that reality has no influence on the Freepers' perception of things.

at FoxNation and the comments made by people make it evident that the conservatives don't in the slightest sense understand the rally or the signs or the people there... it makes me very say that there are so many of us (citizens of the United States) that can't think critically
we certainly live in alternative realities
typical responses: ""Both of these hacks will pay. If their agenda gets thru, no one will have enough to pay for cable anymore. They are so stupid, they are destroying their own careers by LYING TO THE People. THEY also think the people who REALLY care about this COUNTRY and are PROUD of our history as a BEACON OF FREEDOM are THE PROBLEM. In a way they are right. We are a problem for THEM because we will help them destroy their careers AND SAVE THE USA!""
""This type of stuff reminds me of the storys I've read about c.i.a. brainwashing experiments during the nineteen fiftys....Only zombies on meth could enjoy it..And ask for seconds.""
