As much as I enjoyed the Rally, spending the evening talking with Van Jones was icing on the cake...

Arrived at metro 30mins before it opened, and parking was already getting hard to find. Young,old,black,white and all diversity in between descended on the metro. One of my friends flew in from Ireland, and another from the UK, we decided to meet up later after the Rally at one of my fav watering holes. For a early am Sat morning, the metro was packed like a peak hour metro. Where you have to wait for 4-5 to pass through, before you can actually squeeze on one because they are so packed. I got to the mall area about 8am, and already thousands of people were already swarming the mall.
I intended to live blog and live twitter the event. However, due to the large numbers of people, the cell networks were overwhelmed, and communications quickly became a problem. I literally took hundreds of photo's, but here are a few choice one here. I also met up with some folks from Alaska. Rut-Roh! Things in the house of Palin about to take a tumble. After the rally, I met up with my friends and lol and behold, got to listen and chat with Van Jones. Awesome, inspiring...and FIONNE!..I will post his full transcript later on my journal..

This guy had Boehner down to a tee..:rofl: talked just like him and everything







Van Jones...lol! he signed a book for me, gave me crap about my name..it rhymes with something people are loathed to talk about.:rofl: .was interested that people from Europe follow American politics as closely as they do..he left me awe-inspired..




Did I mention how tall he was? Amy Goodman from Democracy Now came up and adjusted the mike a few times..
