Republicans are running on "change"?

I thought that was our slogan? What happened?

We are now the status quo Party and the Repubs want to change everything. Repeal healthcare reform. Repeal Wall St regulations. Repeal the big spending of Obama.

Strange how quickly the American people can turn on a dime, isn't it?

1. Republicans love to copy every thing we do..
They don't have one original thought. You heard about the Republicans screaming Voter Fraud? They figured since we talked about election fraud in 2000, they would scream it now. I am betting, that if you were to find the least educated people in the country, that you will find people who watch Fox News and listen to Rush Limbaugh.

7. Bingo!
Complete "privatization," of education, SS, military, etc., etc., etc. Privatization in this sense meaning Fascism.

Opi said "and they don't care if America slides back to far worse than Bushies train wreck..."

In fact they want it to go much further back than that.

I trust the American people will wake up before they hike up their pants and wade across the Rubicon.

Just my dos centavos

They suck. They lie. They steal. They cheat.

5. You said it!
turn on a dime, and let themselves be so easily influenced by the media. Then they have the nerve to complain about the politicians. Oh, the ones they picked.

The vast majority don't have a civic bone in their body.

8. They seem to have been doing this for awhile
Edited on Sun Oct-31-10 03:36 PM by MyshkinCommaPrince
They seem to have been casting themselves as the vanguard party for some time, as agents of change. It's comparatively easy for them to create the illusion of having the more active, dynamic role in government when their goal is mainly to break things. They don't represent any kind of constructive change. Constructive change is much harder, and much more fragile. Since they only seem to want to disrupt any constructive change, they put us on the defensive too often. That makes it seem, ironically, (to those who don't pay attention to the specifics, or regard politics as Tweety's "horse race") like they have a progressive role and we have a conservative role. So they work this whole flip-around sort of a thing. They just keep digging bigger and bigger holes, and we're kept busy trying to fill the holes.

Destructive change is easy. :(
