| It is interesting ... talked to some of my Independent friends ... and the reason |

they have voted GOP are the following ....
1. We have to pass the HC bill so we can find out what's in it - Nancy P.
2. changing the house rules that would not allow amendments to be added
3. Locking the GOP out of any discussion on bills
4. we don't have time to read the stimulus bill - we have to pass it .. or we will have unemployment over 9% ...
now my friends hope that the GOP will keep those same house rules
and give the Democratic Party a taste of its own medicine
I am like ... the result will be the same in 2 years ....

The Bush admin really did lock the dems out of discussion, threatened, and had many late night sessions.
How about the fact that the GOP have stalled/blocked over 200 House-passed bills in the Senate in the last two years? Maybe the Dems should do the same to the GOP to give them a taste of their own medicine.

nothing will get done ... and the GOP will point out that they need control of the senate .....
