Sarah Palin would 'make the sacrifices' and run for president
By Matea Gold, Tribune Washington Bureau

WASHINGTON — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin predicted that Tuesday's midterm elections would bring a "political earthquake" to the country and reiterated her willingness to make the personal sacrifices necessary to run for president in 2012.

Speaking to Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday," the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee said the message from voters this year would serve as an indictment of the current administration.

"They're going to say, 'You blew it, President Obama. We gave you the two years to fulfill your promise of making sure that our economy starts roaring back to life again.' And instead I believe things are getting worse," Palin said. The election results also will deliver a stinging rebuke to the Republican establishment from the "tea party" movement, she warned...

"You know, the country is worth it, though, to make those sacrifices, when we talk about making money today, having a lot of fun today, having all this freedom," she said. "If the country needed me — and I'm not saying that the country does and that the country would ever necessarily want to choose me over anyone else, but I would be willing to make the sacrifices if need be for America."...

2. The only sacrifice I want from Lady Blah Blah is that she refrain from exercising
her right to free speech. IOW, Sarah: STFU!

5. She doesn't get it does she...
if she's the presidental nominee in 2012, it's because the republican party has determined that she IS the sacrifice...

6. She's a quitter
She's likely give up midway through the race when her poll numbers plummeted.

8. Palin is a joke!
All this woman cares about is MONEY! IF she can make buck on it, she will do it. If her bunch of "clowns" fail to make it into office, is this also a "message" that she and her minions are going down also?

There is no "sacrifice" for her as long as she is making money, and if she did run, she would be making money for herself! The woman makes me sick!

11. She already said she'd run if no one did
I'm sure she meant if NOBODY else ran, including any Democrats, Republicans, Teabaggers, Independents or Greens.

12. So the let Bush and Cheney run rampant over
our freedoms (for real and not manufactured ones like they are trying on Obama). They let him start two wars one where he invaded a neutral country. They let him cut taxes for the rich (of course) that let to trillions in deficit. They let him de-regulate business causing the meltdown of the housing market, the oil market and goodness knows what else...but they ONLY GAVE OBAMA TWO YEARS TO FIX ALL THE MESS BUSH LEFT. I'd say Palin proves the case for the Democrats right there.

13. "but I would be willing to make the sacrifices if need be for America."
Wow...Palin QUIT as Governor of Alaska, and yet she still "thinks" that she would need to make "sacrifices" FOR America, if she declared?!?

Sarah needs to be willing to make just two personal sacrifices for America's sake, and that is to simply STFU and disappear, IMO.

14. if the republicans do somehow take complete control of congress
there is one potential bright spot, that they will completely fuck up (we know it will happen) and people will come back to the light side in 2012.
