1. Why don't more Democrats sound like this guy?.......
Edited on Tue May-22-07 08:18 PM by Beelzebud
Not about his conservative views, mind you, but his conviction on the value of protecting our freedoms from this bogus 'war on terror'.

Edwards Rejects the "War on Terror"
Wednesday, May. 02, 2007 By MIKE ALLEN

"This political language has created a frame that is not accurate and that Bush and his gang have used to justify anything they want to do," Edwards said in a phone interview from Everett, Wash. "It's been used to justify a whole series of things that are not justifiable, ranging from the war in Iraq, to torture, to violation of the civil liberties of Americans, to illegal spying on Americans. Anyone who speaks out against these things is treated as unpatriotic. I also think it suggests that there's a fixed enemy that we can defeat with just a military campaign. I just don't think that's true."

6. I Met Ron Paul In '88
He was Liberatarian candidate for President. A real nice guy...just like he looks and is a stark contrast to any other Repugnican. That is until you really look at his positions and listen to him talk.

Yes, he's against the "war on terror" on our liberties, but that doesn't extend to a woman's right to choose or sexual orientation. Like Hagel, he's the turd in their punchbowl, but he sure isn't with us on a vast majority of the issues.

Paul's the "Kucinich" of their party...and I am not saying that in a negative way...but in the fact that he brings something to their debates that forces the other candidates out of their talking points. Hopefully he'll stick around through the first primaries and pull a 5% or so...and further fracture this imploding party.

Be assured, we're gonna see a third party candidate spin out of the GOOP next year. Maybe two...and Paul could be one...Gingrich the other.

8. A number of them do: Feingold, Boxer, folks like that.
But because they're liberals, they don't get the love-fests that conservative trolls hold for Ron Paul.

7. Ron Paul and Mike Gravel have been
speaking out for some time. The orchestrated attempt to smear them and dismiss their views by MSM must be exposed.

pushing him out of the debates. And yes, like Mike Gravel, he speaks truth to power and scares the shit out of "powers that be". MSM is the collaborateur by selecting whom we elect. Look what they did to Howard Dean.
