In thirty years, my grandchildren are going to be learning about GW Bush "the great president" |
|
because no one will have held him accountable for what he has done to wreck this country.
Like Reagan before him, because no one ever pursued justice because they "just didn't have the votes", and because the majority of "good men" chose to do nothing because it just didn't seem like it was worth while....The history books will be written and the vast majority will cast a favorable light upon GWB....They will mask his shortcomings and his evil ways by talking of "poor intelligence" and they will scatter the blame to even the Democratic Party....
Because our elected officials choose to do nothing.
If the evidence is there, we must pursue justice even if we can not guarantee the votes initially for impeachment...because it is the right thing to do. The idea that we must have the votes to impeach before we put forth the evidence is like saying we won't put a murderer on trial unless we can guarantee that we have the entire jury in our pockets.
If the evidence is there then it will be very hard for people to not impeach him....
If we do not pursue justice for our nation...we are lost.

1. and will they all be living in the moon??? |
|
I highly doubt that - they aren't even saying that now. I don't even think the faux news people are saying that he is a GREAT President.

2. It's not because they don't have the votes. It's because it would damage a lot of powerful interests |
|
If it ever came to light how much collusion there was between powerful business interests on Wall Street and the Republican White House, a lot of people will be exposed for who they are, but because these people play both sides of the political aisle, you will have many politicians who will come out and say that we shouldn't "open up old wounds," shouldn't turn this into a "witch hunt," and that we should "heal" the nation by doing the same thing Gerald Ford did when he pardoned Richard Nixon or when George HW Bush pardoned several people in connection with Iran-Contra and BCCI scandals.

8. There has been no "justice" in this country since Ford pardoned Nixon |
|
That was it. Since then, the crimes have gotten unimaginably bigger and the criminals have never been held accountable. It all gets jumbled up in political doubletalk and propaganda.
America is dead. Dead as a fucking doornail.
