You have heard John say it: the pamphleteers of the 18th century and the town squares and town hall meetings of the 19th century have been replaced by the first truly new democratic interchange in a century: the internet. And you are the ones who power that interchange -- by challenging the candidates, by dissecting the issues, by supporting the candidates who meet your demanding standards. It may frighten some candidates. It doesn't frighten John; it energizes him. You energize him. So, he is headed to Chicago to get some of that energy.
