ETA Oregon to subject line. Forgot that part, in case people don't know who Wyden is.

2. Glad to hear Oregon is staying blue
and I loved the makeover edition on the Oregon School for the Deaf. I just hope Kitzhaber can help OSD with their funding (as their Nightmare Factory is the only thing that generates funds for the entire year for that school - one week of Halloween, and they have generated almost $600k for the year)

9. Still just Multnomah County, but it's hella hard for the GOP to overcome those
early numbers. So far, so good.

18. thank you
I just can't believe it's close. This is OREGON! What happened? (I know there's a big difference between Portland/Eugene and everywhere else, but I still think of Oregon as blueity blue just because it's such a beautiful state.)

19. BTW, there will be plenty of late Dem votes from Portland.
Or at least from Hollywood. The cars were lined up in three different directions to drop off their ballots at 7:00 tonight. I almost got ran over twice, just trying to walk home from work.

20. Still over 100k votes left to count in multnomah county.
And Duds is only getting 28% of the county. Multnomah county has only reported 50%.

21. I find it interesting in the various exit polls that the wealthier are voting Kitzhaber...
... and those making between $30k and $75k are voting for Dudley... Those under $30k and over $75k are voting more for Kitzhaber...

Is this the net stupidity effect when people of this salary range are less informed and are more attracted to Dudley because he was a local NBA basketball player star rather than the stances he has towards rewarding the rich with tax breaks and his comments that waitresses are making too much money with our minimum wage laws.

You'd think that those in this salary range would be more supportive of Kitzhaber and those over $100k would support Dudley more... Those who are more educated are shown to support Kitzhaber more too. Interesting demographics on this page...

http://www.cbsnews.com/election2010/exit.shtml?state=OR&race=G&jurisdiction=0&tag=output;table2431

Perhaps this is a commentary on where we need to focus our efforts in the coming years. How to work to get real issues heard against the noise of things like entertainment/sports news and figures.
