Funny letter to NBC News
Brian Williams read it on the air and I am paraphrasing it:

A woman was upset that Williams, while interviewing Bill Clinton, addressed him as "Mr. President." He is not the President, that lady fumed. I am going back to Fox News where I can get the real facts.

Williams replied that former presidents are addressed as "Mr. President" even after they have left the office.

1. There are a lot of truly ignorant people in this country. Unfortunately, since
the 2000 election, they've become more vocal and obvious.

And amazingly, almost all of them support the bush** administration.

2. I often hear quite a bit about "PRESIDENT Reagan"
...even though he passed (God rest his soul) almost three years ago.

7. LOL. And his wife "Hitlery"
What else, "John F'n Skerry", Algore...

Their little names are so lame. Especially "Algore". Apparently, El Rushbo decided to call Al Gore that as a play on "Igor", because, um... I guess because he was Bill Clinton's demented hunchback assistant? -and now they all call him that, as though it was funny or something. At least "Sore Loserman" was kind of creative...

You would think that their names would at least have something to do with the person being lampooned.

KKK and Clinton - um, hello, the KKK are republicans.

Hillary and Hitler? Okay, Hillary is a bit of a conservative, but not THAT conservative.

Whatever.

But our names Dumbya, Smirk, DICK, etc, are mostly right on target.

But I hate "Gonzo" for Gonzalez.

Gonzo is a lovable guy!

12. Algore...What is that about?
I never got that one. At all. It's probably just your typical wingnut "humor"--profound inanity masquerading as profound wit.

13. Saw both the original interview and the segment
where they read that woman's tirade. My husband and I both laughed like loons. Unfortunately I'm not surprised that someone who considers Fox News ("Fair and Balanced my Ass" should be required reading for everyone who watches Fox) to be the end all and be all in broadcast news would not know the proper way to address a former US president. As much as it would hurt, if I ever had to speak to Bush Redux after he leaves office in 2009, I would force myself to address him correctly as Mr. President, even if I really wanted to say "hey, inmate #45684367-90875".
