M$NBC calling prop 19 a fail. Link to official CA page included. |

I was so hoping for that to pass. http://vote.sos.ca.gov/maps/ballot-measures/19/Link is to official CA site with county by county breakdown. Edit: Apparently I got really lucky getting the official link up. Here's another link, although not nearly as well built. http://www.sfgate.com/election-results/2010/11/02/CA/c/i_proposition/i_19_seat_19/b_ballot_issue/c/california.shtml

The whole nation has an interest in that. I imagine we'll hear about record traffic for the site tonight. Hell I'm from VA. edit to add http://www.sfgate.com/election-results/2010/11/02/CA/c/i_proposition/i_19_seat_19/b_ballot_issue/c/california.shtmlAdditional link. the official link is far cooler if you can get it to work though.

12. Prop 25 will END our friggin budget gridlocks |
|
every June/July!
We will no longer be in a hopeless Repub. stranglehold for months on end. This last one was ridiculous! It was the longest gridlock ever.

19. Nadin, I'm out of work due to budget cuts also. |

I'm a Home Teacher for our local school district.
I found out when school started in Sept. that the 140 teachers who were laid off last June had first dibs on all the jobs in our district. I lost two students I had last year.

15. yea but 20 is passing, 27 isn't, 22 is failing and 26 is passing |
|
so it's not all great. Californians refuse to pay taxes, refuse to allow the legislature to move money from programs to program and wonder why their state budget can't be balanced. Something tells me the state will get less blue when Arnolds magic redistricting commission works it's magic.

People focused on Marijuana (which should be legal) and the insidious propositions like 20, 22, 24, 26, and 27 pass and the budget hole gets deeper. I swear people in this state can be so stupid.
The redistricting commissions are a joke. Mark my words, that will bite us in the ass. Now we can pass a budget, but we can't generate ANY kind of revenue without a super majority. Didn't people learn from Prop 13?
With 24, we lose more revenue by letting corporations move their money around to shell companies and skip out on paying any taxes. Good job people. :eyes:
