California is NOT as liberal as many of you think it is. It is actually pretty conservative, leaning crazee libertarian in most of the state. The liberals are in the Bay area and the LA County, mostly.

Most of the people in this state are allergic to taxes... see Prop 13, or my local defeat of D. People here don't get it. And in this place we will have a little issue with city services, so defunded that soon my 911 system will have a 15 minute response on a good day instead of the gold standard of 5. This could be deadly, but don't raise my taxes.

This IS California...
