Voter apathy and idiot DJs. |
|
How do we fight fools like the popular Philadelphia morning DJ I heard this morning when my radio alarm went off. He was talking about how he left the polls laughing his head off. Why was he laughing? To paraphrase, he was laughing because after months of being inundated by political ads, and weeks of being inundated by political phone calls, after all of that, he saw the ballot and realized he was only voting for four people. "Four people. After all of that, four people".
John DeBella, you fool, those four choices determined the governor of your state, and helped to determine the balance of power in Washington. Those four choices were possibly some of the most important choices many Philadelphians have made in years. Your making light of those choices, making them seem somehow insignificant, feeds the political apathy of Philadelphians, which is exactly the opposite of what we need.

Joe Scar just said, maybe we need to stop focusing on Tsunami's and Hurricane's or something to that effect about focusing the rhetoric on our nation's issues. Think the JS and SC Rally has made an impression on any of these assholes?
