Can we at least boot Reed and Pelosi out of the leadership? |
|
Is it not time the democrats found strong leaders and replaced Reed and Pelosi? Can we afford more weak and stupid?

1. Pelosi is not the speaker - she's out |
|
And Reid has always been the problem -- but I don't see him leaving soon. He's weak enough to be bullied by the corporate types on both sides.

Senators will be thinking about 2012 when more of them are up for reelection.

5. so who could replace him? Preferably someone with a spine? |
|
I've heard Durbin or someone else. Would either one be able to do the job that is needed?

2. Why do you want Pelosi out of a leadership role? |

She's neither of the labels you attached to her. Or, are you just attached to those labels?

"Impeachment is off the table."
Need anyone say more?

3. Pelosi did her job better than pretty much anyone else could have done. |
|
Some people may not like her but she always delivered!

I don't know that anyone could have done what she did when she did it.

19. The contempt and downright disingenousness of your remarks to fellow DUers is disgusting |
|
And it's on repeated display over and over again.
You offer so very little to this place with these remarks.
Congrats, you've earned an honor that only one other poster has received. I hate to do it, but in this case I firmly believe I won't be missing much. At All.
Bye.

7. "We" can't do squat. Leadership is decided by congress and they have... |

far different criteria than kvetchers on the sidelines do.

9. We couldn't have had a stronger speaker of the house |
|
she got more done than any we had so far. It was the senate that screwed things up. The HCB when it went to the senate was damn good. The senate dropped practically everything to gain republican vote and then republicans voted no on everything. Pelosi should be able to stay - which she can't - and Reid should turn the leadership over to someone with a spine.

Can we "at least" not act like spoiled brats? Sorry, I am angry, sad, apprehensive about the future, disappointed about the present, and the list goes on and on, but this kind of reaction is one of the reason we are where we are IMHO.
