We're fucked, just plain fucked. With the economy in the shape it is the return of Republicans to power is exactly the same thing as kicking a starving man in the balls.

11. if they address the debt, I will be happy
The tone of many voters yesterday was, IMO, a good one. They were concerned about spending. However, most of those elected have proven they are not the fiscal conservatives they claim to be. Dan Coates will likely just toss around tax breaks to businesses. If we elected a group of Republicans that understood the risks of our massive debt and its influence on the international debt market, we would be okay. However, I believe only Rand Paul understands that, and he has many other extreme issues that I am concerned with.

10. Oh, the doom and gloom
I understand that people are upset, but come on, folks. We've seen much darker days. Has everyone forgotten the previous administration and Congresses? Has everyone forgotten what Clinton managed to do with a COMPLETELY Republican Congress?

The Republicans are NOT back in power. They have the House. The House. That's it. And they will fuck things up so badly that Obama is assured a second term.

All this sturm und drang is getting tiring.

All I could think was how much worse this could have been. All things considered -- and the way the forecasts were -- we came out of this much better than most people anticipated.

38. States have to follow federal rules on that
They may have some leeway, as written into the statutes. But a Republican run state can't shut down Medicaid.

Yes, but spending originates in the House, so it is a pretty big deal.

can't govern anyway. In two years people will be just as angry at the baggers as they were at "the Washington".
