Republican roadmap for 2012: Manuever DEMOCRATS into destroying SS & Medicare (& taking the blame).. |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 12:20 PM by Faryn Balyncd
Managing to get Democrats to pass national RomneyCare with federal mandates to purchase unaffordable corporate insurance with no public option ..... Taking a plan Bob Dole and other Republicans proposed in 1993 and now maneuvering Democrats to pass a massively unpopular corporatist/Republican bill OVER REPUBLICAN OBJECTIONS in 2009 ...... sure worked for the 2010 roadmap, didn't it?
The Republicans will now go for another "two-fer": get Democrats to again "reach out" and gut SS & Medicare - - either in the lame duck session which must act on the "Deficit Commission" report before January, or else in the next Congress - - but make no mistake who they plan on taking the blame.
Thats the wages of "bi-partisanship" with snakes.

4. I said the same. Citizens United assured that GOP can get away with blaming Obama and Dems on TV |
|
even for their fascist agenda to destroy the middle and working class and all their safety nets.

I expect that the Democratic House members who lost their jobs yesterday will have very little enthusiam for voting for anything in the lame duck session. Even an extension of the Bush tax cuts for the middle class will have insufficient takers.

7. I can't whole heatedly help you out here - for me |

It's a question of how, over the years, neoliberal Has the democratic party become.
The nafta, welfare to work, and Romney care, etc are Sign posts along the way.
The people business should be to focus on the Democratic party and making sure the democratic party Is the party of the people.
Fuck the repukes.
