Chances on Senate rule reform?? |
|
Does anybody remember the quiet rumblings threatening changes to the Senate rules, especially filibuster, when the new Congress forms in January?
Remember when everybody was so frustrated by all the holds and filibusters but Democratic leadership said it cannot be addressed until the new Congress?
So does anybody think the Democrats have the guts to do away with filibuster? I doubt it and it is more likely that they now want to preserve so they can use it in the near future. Of course the joke would be the Republicans gaining the Senate and having no qualms about rule reform.

1. Reid talked about it emphatically |
|
Now we'll see if he meant it.

2. Last I heard it was ruled out |
|
Reid didn't have the votes to pass it as the conservadems thought everything was working just fine.

Democrats are every bit as much hypocrites as Republicans..They know they will be in the minority very soon themselves..
