If you want to know where to lay the real blame.... |
|
The Republicans have been in control of the Pentagon for 16 years; ever since Clinton forced Les Aspin out, the Secretary of Defense has been a Republican no matter who held the White House.
The Republicans have controlled the banking and financial industry for 33 years; ever since Paul Volcker was pushed aside for Alan Greenspan the head of the Federal Reserve has been a Republican no matter who held the White House.
If you want to start solving the endemic problems, that's where you need to start.

Obama, when given the chance to replace the two most powerful Republicans in the country, reappointed both.

3. Republicans never surrendered their hold over the Congress, even in minority status |
|
They know it has more to do with bullying and projecting power than working together to make legislation. We don't know that. or are afraid to use the power we have. Someone might get upset.

5. The Democrats couldn't cope with a dead Republican party |
|
The masses might have expected them to actually fix things.
They had to revive the GOP, give it legitimacy, so the Houses of Lords could get back to the business of blamestorming.

And after Bush/Cheney handed over the keys to our Treasury and EVERY THING else (the Supreme Court) to the corporations, honestly, I'm surprised Obama could get anything done. It really is going to be up to WE THE PEOPLE to stop the most egregious ideas of the Republicans (i.e. cut social security, medicaid, the environment, regulations, etc., etc.)
The people are going to have to speak up loud and clear.

6. FED is also controlling our economic policy ... Congress shoud be doing that ...not FED... |
|
We don't elect the FED --
we do elect Congress to do that job --
Do we have an office of printing money !! Cause that's what the FED's mainly
doing -- not for the benefit of the public -- but for the benefit of the FED
and corporate friends!!
We also seem to have a long term situation of Council on Foreign Relations controlling
our foreign policy -- We don't elect them either!
Basically, GOP has taken over government -- made it secret at the highest levels --
and privatized it for profit of elites. It's government now which caters to high level
elite needs, including their military needs, evidently!!
I think even people like Ralph Nader who has been so long talking about corporate-fascism
is even himself astonished at the level of FASCISM rising here.
