2. If history is any guide, they'll cut nothing. |
|
In fact, they'll shamelessly INCREASE pork-barrell spending in their own districts, but it will all be directed to large comanies and will have no benefit to the average person.

8. I say let them cut it ALL. |
|
There was a Volkswagen commercial recently that had the tagline "Give the people what they want."
I think we should let the population have a taste of life in Teahadistan.
Cut it all. Except for "welfare for the rich" of course.
See how the "voting public" likes that.
Somehow, I think people just don't understand what prior generations went through to win the kind of rights and benefits that the Teahadis want to take away.
Sometimes, you only learn the hard way.

will try and filibuster the debt celling but in the end he was lose or he will be arrested as a terrorist trying to bring down the world markets. If the republicans don't put an end to you, you better believe the UN will step in and take care of it. People tend to forget that we are still part of the world, and there are alot of powerful countrys in the UN now not just the US like it used to be.

Medicaid, SSI, school lunches - whatever they can target that involves "government waste," meaning poor people.
Those with the least are always targeted first.

24. They'll try to make cuts in Medicare, Medicaid, & Social Security because |
|
those who depend on these aren't wealthy enough or young enough to include them on their perpetual campaigning radar. Bullies pick on the weaker.
And they will try to raise the retirement age to 70 -- those who do manual labor & depend on the strength of their bodies to bring home a paycheck will be damned; when their bodies can no longer perform the work 10 years or more before they can retire, will their unemployment checks continue before their retirement pension takes effect?
What a mess.

they pretty much rubber stamped anything and everything George and Dick told sent to them. They covered each other's backsides. They won't have that play this time. Time to put up or shut up. Lets see your budget priorities and see how that reconciles to economic reality.
