10. It was an all out flamefest

Imagine one of those threads with 200 posts where everybody is flaming everybody else and the mods have to delete subthreads and eventually lock the whole thread. It was a real life version of that.

Rosie took Elisabeth's unwillingness to defend her two days prior very personally. It was on Monday that Rosie brought up the fact that Fox News and others were saying that Rosie called the troops "terrorists". When Rosie asked Elisabeth on Monday whether she thought that she (Elisabeth) agreed with such a mischaracterization of Rosie's words, Elisabeth stammered around the question and didn't really answer it. Here is the video I posted on Monday.

Apparently, Rosie has not gotten over that. She once again asked Elisabeth the same question and asked that Elisabeth answer "Yes" or "No". Once again, Elisabeth talked around the question. This devolved into a very personal yelling match, with Elisabeth saying she doesn't have to defend Rosie because Rosie is an adult, with Rosie accusing Elisabeth of not being her friend, with Rosie calling Elisabeth a coward (!!!) with Elisabeth taking extreme offense to that, with Joy and the guest host (I forget her name) desperately trying to get to a commercial break....It was quite the spectacle.

Elizabeth ended up looking like the puppet that she is. She told Rosie that she works with facts not emotions (ha, right) and Joy said,"I just gave you a huge list of facts!" and she completely ignored her and went back to Rosie, telling her she gave her a "chance" to explain herself. Background is that RW pundits were saying that Rosie thinks the troops are terrorists and Elizabeth did nothing to defend her the other day. All she said was that her words could be taken that way. I'm sorry but there would be no more playdates. There's getting along and then there's being a moron. Elizabeth is a moron.

I almost couldn't believe that this was on the mainstream media. Too much truth! The Rosie/ EH flamefest that followed was pretty uncomfortable, but I'm glad that Rosie didn't back down. Notice that Alicia Silverstone (the guest that followed) barely gave EH a greeting but warmly embraced everyone else on the panel.
