52. Agreed. The process has to go on, whatever the make up of the House. |
|
We have the president to block with the veto, a powerful weapon if he uses it well.
We have the senate to block on many issues.
The president allowed the GOP congressional minority to control the process the past two years. Now, ironically, when he lacks the votes, he's going to have to take it back away from the GOP House majority.
House members have to work together to pass legislation. Politics is the public face, but inside the process, they're either workers or they're not. Work horses get it done. Show horses get camera time.

Three days now and all I've seen from our President and most of our party is "Ok, let's give in. This isn't possible. Time to compromise. Dynamics. Blah blah blah"
We went from "We don't have the votes" to......."We don't have the votes"
Now they can just keep marching further rightward because they have "cover" that the cheerleaders will buy into.

After 30 years of moderate-conservative policies and dems pushing those policies, we are here today wondering why people stay at home. When I see these threads, I picture a spoiled brats blaming their parents for not giving the kids what they wanted.
They get everything they want, and when they fail, they blame and attack the left.
