A society that cares for its least, is one that can be admired.
I like seeing your post, reminds me what we fight for, thanks.

8. I was thinking very similar thoughts last night.... |
|
I'm going to write my re-elected GOP congress critters, congradulate them on their re-elction, and mention when they start working on taking down the health insurance reform bill they'd better not mess with: the prohibitions against denying patients with pre-exting conditions coverage, keeping kids on parents insurance until they're 26 having insurance appeals heard by an indepent board instead of by the insurance company
and on and on.
Then I'm going to mention that they'd better make sure that I can still get Medicare in a few years when I'm eligible (even though it's "government run health insurance"), and that while they're at it they might consider making Medicare available to more Americans who might want to purchase it.
IMHO, we need to be putting this debate in terms of something that's familiar to people and that they're comfortable with (Medicare), rather than the scary unkown that repukes can jump all over (universal healthcare).

9. That term should have been used all along -instead of "health care reform": So generic and open |
|
to interpretation that the Repubs took the opportunity to define it for us ("it's socialism!").
