Kudos to DU BUT - it seems like every time that I want to find out what's REALLY going on - I have to go to on the internet and go to DU. It would be ok if DU was seen by millions of people.

Right now they're talking about Pitt and Jolie on CNN, a murdered beautiful white woman on MSNBC (they're calling it a Laci Peterson case).

I couldn't find a thing on the Gonzales hearing.

1. I know what you mean, I turn on the TV to watch Seinfeld re-runs and
then KO. Can't stand TV anymore.. I get my news from here also, no wonder we're brilliant...lol.

2. They've drawn a black curtain over these hearings.
C-Span3 is the only place to watch and few cable companies carry it.

Must have M$M "sanitize" the news they feed us.

:sarcasm: :puke: :eyes:

3. I try to watch
Keith Olbermann every day. I try to listen to Amy Goodman every day. I catch maybe a half our of All Things Considered or Morning Edition. I no longer subscribe to my local newspaper (the Kansas City Star) but I try to get the Sunday New York Times.

I was visiting my brother in Tucson over this past weekend (Thursday through Tuesday) and although he does not seem to watch Fox News and has a very low opinion of Bush, he only watches local and national broadcast news. He is legally blind, so reading anything is out of the question. But I felt myself getting dumber and dumber each day. I was quite amazed at how much on local or national news broadcasts was absolutely not important. Who cares about two lost whales? Why is some lady dumb enough to have her purse on the passenger seat and the top down on her convertible and so the purse gets snatched, why is this newsworthy?
