I just tuned into Monica
Has she blatantly lied yet and how and is it specific enough that she can be caught and charged with it? Also what about the documents that aren't being turned over?

3. I just tuned it off.....
I'm at work and it's driving me nuts that the last two up are big time kissing her ass. The Christian remark just lost it for me...I'm checking in later here for the recap.

4. almost EVERY GOPer is on his hands and knees playing kissie kissie
with the blond bimbo.

Did democrats ever act like that during the clinton years? I don't think so.

5. There's a lot of people on Du who disagree with me, but I think
she's telling the truth as much as she knows. She's been painted as amuch bigger player than she really was. After listening to her testimony, it sure looks to me like she was no more than a glorified clerk at the DOJ. All the tasks she did were done by clerks at every company I've ever worked for!

Initial interviews of possible new hires were always done by our HR clerk.

Sending rah rah memos about visitors to the WH...HR clerk.

Keeping track of and publishing the daily schedules at the DOJ & WH...somebody's secretary.

I'm not sure who hyped this testimony more, the media or the congress, but she's definately not a "person in the know"!!

6. Since the only people higher than her on the ladder are Gonzales
and Rove, it appears she is very good at playing dumb.

Her job was liaison between the WH and DoJ.

8. It's a very misleading chain of command.
She even said the Deputy AG was her boss, and I'm not sure how many Deputy AG's there really are. So far I've heard Sampson & McNulty, but that doesn't mean there aren't more.

She DIDN'T report directly to Gonzo!

I still say she's small fish. She COULD have been an important witness if she was like a lot of secretaries who know almost more than their boss does, but it doesn't appear that way in her case.

9. But she's not a secretary
she was in charge of hiring, firing and promotions...she knows more than she is saying...and she should have reviewed her past work since she knew she was coming before Congress to answer for her time in DOJ...she's not prepared, she was rehearsed and that's it...

10. She WASN'T in charge of hiring and firing.
She did the first interviews of people applying for a job at DOJ. THAT'S what I meant by glorified secretary. That's what secretaries and low level assistents in an HR dept. do. She reviewed complaints and made recommendations on firings and replacements, but NOT final decisions.

Neither of those duties constitutes Hiring & Firing responsibility!

I still say she's small fish, and one who was for the most part kept in the dark about what was REALLY going on!
