I'm going to see Al Gore tonight
I refuse to ask him if he's going to run but I will ask other questions if I get a chance. Right now, I plan to discuss green building laws, regs, and financing and what we can do to address the problems. I also want to know if he really believes there is still time to address this crisis and which Democratic candidate has the best plan so far. I'm open to other questions.

2. I just want to know if he KNOWS how much support he already has
and how many people are calling on him to run and save our country. I see threads here daily about it and I wonder if anyone tells him...

Have a good time tonight & let us know how it goes!

:P

Sorry, but I just read that part in The Assault on Reason and I'm still laughing about it.

8. That's what I'm kinda curious about. Assuming that he's not running, when would he come out in
support of a candidate, and who might he see that being. I'm curious who he thinks most closely aligns with his views. My guess is Edwards, but I'd be curious to hear it from the horse's mouth.

9. People have been asking him that, and he's said he won't endorse anybody
He said earlier this week that the current field is uninspiring: (to paraphrase rather than quote) the Republicans all s*ck, and the Dems running are good people but are not capable of making the major changes needed in society. He's also said that nobody running has an anti-global warming plan that's remotely close to what's needed.

Just F.Y.I. unless they're on record as not seeking the office in question, no pol will ever say "Well, if I DON'T run for office X, I'd definitely endorse candidate Y." If they run it makes them look like they expect to loose - - which makes it that much harder to get support. It also gives candidate Y a cheap debating point, "We all know my opponent thinks I'm the best candidate in this race." They also don't engage in speculation about whether they'd accept the running mate or a cabinet slot for the same reasons.

11. He said he hadn't decided
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0705/22/lkl.01.html

KING: Are you going to endorse any candidate?

GORE: I don't know. Probably. But I...

KING: In the primary, I mean?

GORE: Yes. Probably, but I don't know. I don't know. I have not made that decision yet.
