someone I supervised had released some confidential information that I had and she shoud not have had. The human resources person came to talk to her. Fortunately for once in my life I was smart enough not to say a thing about it to the employee and it became clear that this person was just speculating based on her own observations. So there was no breach of confidentially and no foul on anyone's part (except she talks too much sometimes). But if I had discussed it with her prior to the HR person questioning her if would have looked as if I may have coached her. Can't be too careful sometimes.
