No matter what happens in Iraq, Bush is not removing one single living troop
The entire nation can sing kumbya holding hands, and no one is coming home. It all goes back to his hatred of being compared to his father. After 91, there were people saying Bush the elder should "finished the job" and gone into Baghdad. This one is going to prove his "manhood," by making sure no one can say, "he didn't finish the job." The weight of the presidency is strong, especially when there is no chance for any negotiation or middle ground, he is not going to move.

That is what it comes down to IMHO, Bush saying "ain't nobody gonna say I pulled out," and just leave it to the next person to figure out.

1. Well he did say that as long as he is pResident, we aren't leaving Iraq!
Probably the only truthful thing he has ever said!

2. That's exactly right
I don't care if he has zero dollars to do it, the troops will be stuck in Iraq until his ass is out of the white house. And don't think the pukes wouldn't be really happy to lay all the newly dead soldiers at the feet of the Democratic congress if they were stuck over there without equipment and training. The media of course would dutifully transcribe the words of the press secretary and it's all the fault of the Democrats.

It sucks but we are stuck there until a Democrat gets the Presidency and no sooner. All the bitching and moaning in the world isn't going to stop it.

7. One big domestic terror
attack (staged or genuine) just before the 2008 elections and watch how fast elections will be cancelled, martial law imposed, all due to the "national crisis". I hope and pray I'm wrong but I wouldn't put anything past this bunch of skunks.
