DEAN PEOPLE - Who do y'all like right now for 2008?
I am digging on Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich at this point in time. I doubt anyone, democrat, indy, or puke can beat Hillary. All that is left is finding out who will be HRC's veep and what the Dem ticket will stand for. I like Kucinich cause he will be in it to the end (he is not looking to be veep) and perhaps he can make the party take some progressive platform changes.

So who do you like in 2008?

2. still figuring it out, not firm on anyone just yet. i've given money to 5 of them
and another 2 because my 12 year old daughter has her picks already so she asked me to send her 2 candidates $30 each--from her own money.

8. Your daughter rocks!
My daughter can vote in the next election and is bummed that 1. Dean isn't running 2. She doesn't really like anyone... but she's leaning toward Edwards... although we both wish it was Elizabeth that was running. I think Elizabeth could beat the pants off of Hilary.

16. she's pretty funny, she went to all their web sites and actually printed stuff out
and then she made her choice so she gave the money to donate and then in turn i bought her a tshirt from her 2 choices and she's all excited to "Represent" and the she says "Sheesh Mom, stop being a fence sitter!" Damn liberal kid--get off mah lawn!

19. Hahahaha! She needs to write those two candidates, tell them
how she donated and put that on their heads...so they don't let an earnest, intelligent child down. Good job on that one! You should be so proud.

9. He is too good at chairing the DNC my friend
i didn't think that Dean (or anyone) could have beat w. in 2004. I liked Dean cause he (and Braun, Sharpton, and Kucinich) all got the war right (by right I mean they thought that overthrowing the bathe party would make us less safe - they were right - everyone else is waking up to public opinion, imho).

4. That's exactly how I feel. Hillary is ordained, she has been for a long time.
But we can dream. I kind of like Gore, but I think there is almost something bad about letting Global warming become a "Dem" issue. But I may be wrong about that.

23. In NYS all the Leiberman dems are backing Hillary in 2008
I am often told to OBEY HRC (cause it is inevitable that she will win and of course you don't want to rock the boat of local dems running in 2007 and 2008 that want Hillary's support).

All the Leiberman 2004 supporters are now supporting Hillary 2008. At least in NYS.

12. I'm waiting.
I didn't get behind Dean until August 2003. I need to see some of these characters in person before I get moved one way or the other. I'm doubting there will be another Dean in the race.

Unless Gore gets in.

21. Like? Absolute no one. I'm hoping someone else will enter,
such as: Al Gore (very, very slim to none chance, as I see it).

Hillary? She's so damned beatable the Republicans want her to win the primaries desperately. DESPERATELY. In fact, if ole Rove is stuffing any ballot boxes (or "switching" any votes, see http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x461782#461783 ) during the primary, it'll be to Hillary.

We do not know if we will be alive by the end of this hurricane season because Bushler would rather use the national treasury to exterminate Arabs for oil instead of fixing our levees.

35. Dean was my first choice in 2004
Edwards was my second back then and he's top dog for me now. I think he's actually in good position. I theorize that Obama or Edwards will bow out and whoever is left from those two will beat Hillary because there is alot of anti-Hillary sentiment. I like Kucinich also, but he would get squished by the GOP in the general. Obama would be fine also, but I prefer Edwards.

37. Nobody right now.
I was interested in Feingold, but then he decided not to run, and no one else has impressed me much, so I'm still in the "unsure" column for right now.

I want someone to inspire me, and none of them do that.

We need another Howard!
