4. Someone tell me what's going on.
I'm confused, what are Dems doing? I know what some are doing, Conyers/Waxman etc., but what about all those others? Don't tell me Dems are falling apart. WTH is going on?

5. Good question, was wondering that myself.
Maybe the Dems have suddenly found they also "have utmost confidence in the AG", just like *. After today's pitiful display in their tough handling of the "supplemental war funding", they've probably rolled over on that one, too.

I am so disappointed & sick. :puke:

6. I think it's still a going concern
In fact, the star of the Goodling hearing, the tenacious Artur Davis, is one of the powers behind it, I believe.

8. I heard earlier they will bring it up after recess. The question/answer period remains open from
today's hearing for 5 legislative days (Conyer's closing remarks). That takes it to the Memorial Day break. I doubt we'll see any legislative action before that process is concluded.

Senate Sets Gonzales No-Confidence Vote
By Staff
May 24, 2007

The U.S. Senate Thursday decided to vote next month on a no-confidence measure against Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, sponsors of the measure said.

"Make no mistake about it: We are moving forward," said Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. "When a situation becomes so serious that there's a crisis in leadership of this magnitude, a Congress not only has the right to weigh in, we have a responsibility to take action. And we will."
