If Obama had Eric Cantor charged with Logan Act crimes...
it would be as refreshing as a mint julep on a hot day.

It would be profound and would have major positive implications for the electorate. Americans just might begin to believe that we have our government back, and that this is "change I can believe in".

2. He'd be impeached in a straight party-line vote in the House...
...within 60 days.

3. Straight party-line vote in the house for impeachment would be the best thing for his presidency.

4. You can't count on anything in the Senate...
...not when 80 of those hundred people look at the mirror every day and say "Good Morning, Mr. President".

Impeachment would start with 48 votes -- Lieberman's been there, done that, and copyrighted the t-shirt -- are there a further 19 ambitious or unscrupulous Dems?

5. Silly!
Republicans don't break the law! When was the last time you saw a Republican actually serve time for committing a crime? Hell, Ken Lay, thanks to his breathtakingly fortuitous mortality, wasn't even guilty of what he was found guilty of! Scooter Libby served less time than the college kid nailed for hacking Bill O'Reilley's site. Republicans don't have to answer for their crimes. None of the Bush administration lackeys even had to answer to a court for blowing off congressional subpoenas.

There are two systems of courts in this country, and folks like Mr. Cantor aren't subject to the law the same way you and I are.

6. That's exactly right and why it needs to change
"There are two systems of courts in this country, and folks like Mr. Cantor aren't subject to the law the same way you and I are."

The courts really need to reverse the priorities of the justice system to one where those such as sworn elected officials and public servants (DAs, Judges, LE, etc) need to be held to the highest gold standard of behavior. When they break the law it is extraordinarily damaging to our country as it diminishes the respect that all Americans have for our institution of government. They need to serve sentences for one strike that are far more severe.

Eric Cantor needs to spend years in jail and the nobody who lives in poverty from podunk who shoplifted a loaf of bread needs pardoned.

7. I'd switch parties in a microsecond.
And so would millions of other folks. It won't happen but if it did you'd see a rerun of 1980.

8. Why would you switch Parties?
and why would millions of others? I must apologize because I don't understand your reply. Please clarify.

BTW the MSM didn't cover one iota of Cantor's traitorous conduct while they saturated us on Pelosi's trip to Syria.

Salon / Glen Greenwald was extremely critical in his article: Eric Cantor's Pledge of Allegiance
