With the grand total of $0 on it. In the memo column I noted "the real check goes to the person who will stand up to this regime...if you won't, the next check goes to your primary challenger".

YUCK. Inhofe/Sullivan, etc. I feel so dirty after calling them!

I also called Pelosi (4 or 5 times, E-mailed her, and filled out the comments box on her site.)

Same for Reid.

10. His aide said he is voting for the war funding bill and so I decided to ask

That must be their new story. Last week they didn't have enough votes, now they don't have enough time.

There is absolutely no point in calling my Congresscritter
Dan Lipinski from IL-03. He's going to vote for it, no doubt about it. He's a DINO, pure and simple.

However, I will call Sens. Durbin and Obama and plead with them to vote against it. I'll check back in after I get through.

But knowing Danny Boy and the Cook County Dems, they'll just find someone to split the vote so he just walks in again, like he did in 2006.

I tried 3 times to get through to the DC office, each time the line was busy.

Just remind whoever answers the call in the Chicago office that you can't get through to DC and it's part of their job to relay the messages on.

As well, I'd send a e-mail/snail mail to Durbin's DC office about this. I have a sneaky feeling that if the Senator himself was aware of this "policy" he wouldn't be too happy about it.

Cuellar to vote against the war appropriations bill, even though it included the minimum wage raise & that if he voted for it, I would no longer support him. I said I hated to say something like that, but I was very angry & since my vote was my only power, I felt I had to.
