Bank moving local jobs to India
National City Mortgage Co. is shifting more jobs from its Miami Township office to India, the company said Wednesday.

At least 50 positions likely will be relocated to India, said Chris Kemper, spokesman for the company. The workers are mostly back office employees who take care of loan processing and other administrative duties, he said.

2. If you want to cash a check, they will FedEx the cash from
Bangalore. Be sure to specify whether you want dollars or rupees.

3. Hmmm.... time for some National City Mortgage Co's customers
to switch banks.

I realize there are few, if any, "local" banks anymore - but certainly there are banks more local than India!

4. Hmmm, interesting. And I was just about to discuss a home mortgage with them.
Looks like I'll be switching banks soon too. I don't know how to make it any clearer to them. I DO NOT WNAT MY PERSONAL FINANCES HANDLED BY FOREIGN "OFFSHORE" LABOR!

National City, you can suck it!

5. Something that hadn't occurred to me but did after reading this...
Not only are these corporations/companies saving money by paying Indian and Chinese workers less than they would pay American workers, they are also saving money on FICA taxes, ie matching funds for Social Security and Medicare taxes, right? Making out like bandits and hurting retirees, the disabled and children of deceased workers as an extra added bonus.
