There is just so much unintentional humor on Washington Journal.

3. of course, this caller probably hasn't been to Iraq
or had family members killed over there.

I wish someone at WJ would grow a set and ask THEM when are they going to enlist. These couchwaffen calls are an embarrassment to this country.

5. actually that is already happening
In my neighborhood I know of one young male who was on a temp student visa who enlisted. I believe he was from China and he was told if he went into the Army he would get his green card. Now he wasn't presently "illegal" but if he wanted to stay this was his option. Now if he will live long enough to use the green card. Anyone's guess.

8. There was a scandal involving recruiters
going down to Mexico, and offering citizenship to those who enlist, and it is happening right now, but we always done this. Note the Irish in the Civil War, enlisting them right off the boats, for exchange of citizenship.

6. How come the Minute "Men" aren't taking part in the Big Surge in Iraq?
If folks are going to demand that Mexican immigrants do an American's patriotic duty by going to Iraq, then they should at least join them.

7. Well,
I wouldn't wish that on those who come to this country hoping for a better life, but I sure could wish it upon the occupants of the corporate boardrooms and today some certain members of Congress.

9. Illegal EMPLOYERS should spend 4 years in Iraq/Afghanistan
to justify their citizenship since they apparently put their profits over the good of their fellow country men and women.

Maybe it's time they start proving to their communities that they support their community.

Wonder how long until we hear that on Washington Journal?

*sigh*

12. It sure as hell isn't going to be college republicans.
They would rather watch war on tv and watch our military become a mercenary foreign legion rather than join up themselves.

It is a sign of a society in decline when the citizens do not participate in defending it, but rely on mercenaries.

(Not to imply that fighting in Iraq is defending us).
