The Hard Tyranny of Bush's Low Expectations (re: the surge)
The bastard is telling us to "expect heavy fighting" this summer--just so he can say in Sept. that the surge is working as planned.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- As Congress was poised to approve money for U.S. forces in Iraq on Thursday, President Bush warned Americans to expect "heavy fighting" this summer during a critical time in his war strategy.

Answering reporters' questions at a White House news conference, Bush said the developments would occur once U.S. military reinforcements are in place in mid-June.

"We can expect more American and Iraqi casualties," Bush said.

1. So he's saying his plan to get thousands more killed is working?
Long as his friends keep getting paid?

2. Expected timeline is the cause of george's higher expected casualties
Now why did george set a time line when he knew the enemy would act accordingly. Just like he said of a Democratic time line. It would give the enemy too much info. Is the word oxymoron suitable here?

Petreus will give his report in Sept. and the bad guys will make sure that all hell has broken loose in Baghdad by then. Maybe worse.... Hell, the bad guys don't have to wear all the cumbersome gear like our troops. The have a bag full of tricks (explosives). No armour needed. No sweating it out in crummy, cramped, hot and unclean quarters like we hear our guys are burdened with.

We now know there is no way to stop this disaster.....congress is giving the "surge" a chance??
