Aren't you allowed to choose between the patdown and the screening? There is nothing pornographic about the screen images. Sure, you might see the outline of a dick or a boob, but one click on line will show you much more. I think it's much ado about nothing. The majority of Americans support it, our President backs it, and I don't fly anyway, but if I needed to, the new procedures wouldn't stop me. On edit: while the screenings are an inconvenience, the real searching should be of the cargo in our ship yards and trains etc. I think only about 20% of the cargo from ships is searched.
