Why do people refer to these times as interesting and exciting ? |
|
I continue to here people calling this an interesting and or exciting time . Am I missing something , I hardly call hard and difficult times intersting let alone exciting .
All I can see is constant horror which seems to be blooming and growing as weeds .
So far we have not slowed the killing and the Dems have proved to be a complete letdown .
This occupation will only get much worse since they handed bush just what he wanted . The entire immigration bill is a complicated joke that will not solve one thing , they are going after the wrong people and going about this in the worst way imaginable .
Many issues and investigations pile up and all else before goes right down the memory hole as it is designed to do .
It's come to the point where it is almost impossible to find out what the next breaking story will flow out from the pits of hell , at times I don't even want to know which is just another way to keep people un-informed by design .
Right now they are playing with the war funding bill as a gift to bush . Monicas shrill voice peals out of the tv speakers and the immigration bill is just more swill with no end in sight .
The USA has become a torture chamber in it's own right since all is bad news .
So I ask again , what is interesting and exciting about any of this unless for some it's a political betting game . Just to add they can go to hell with their 2008 elections which will be just more of the same old crap and lies and sensational mud flinging .

1. I'm not sure this is relevant to your question, BUT |
|
as you may know, the Chinese have a saying "May you live in interesting times"; and it's meant as a kind of "curse", actually.
In other words, may you live in bad times.

8. May you live in interesting times |

An old curse mentioned above. Interesting and exciting need not be good things. They need only hold your attention and change your environment.
To quote Mr Ollivander from Harry Potter, "I think it is clear that we can expect great things from you. After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things. Terrible! Yes. But great. "

15. Even those who hate what is going on may concede that these are, |
|
indeed, interesting times.
Those for whom they are exciting are the war lovers and rapturists - and fuck them.
