Same thing on both NBC and our Fox affiliate here in Las Vegas.

It's all about the campers who claim to have been outside of a local Best Buy since Monday, hoping to get dibs on awesome Chinese shit deals.

This in a city which now has worse unemployment than Detroit and which I understand has a population which is now beginning to shrink due to how horrible the economy is.

:wtf:

3. Sorry but can you explain a little?
Hadn't heard about anti-Pelosi ads still running after the election.

Why would they still be doing such a thing now?

2. The COLD weather is the big story here
People will die overnight. We don't have shelters.

4. Oh, no.
:(

They did run a story about the homeless here and how they're trying to make sure that everyone who needs it will have a Thanksgiving dinner that's worth a damn, and will also have shelter since we're also going to be below freezing for a couple days here, at least (anymore that's rare for us unless it's the dead of January).

And believe me, this town is now chock-a-block full of desperate people, which is why our population is supposedly starting to head down.

Fuck this is depressing.

5. Yup. And when I heard the jokes about WalMart...
I wanted to ask if no one remembered what happened just last year! :banghead:

6. Can't stay up that late
I am in bed by 8pm. Getting up early (2:30am) for work has that affect on me. The side benefit is not watching local news.

7. Only reason I was listening to it was that my wife made a quick store run...
...and didn't turn off the TV after the previous show had ended.

Otherwise, I don't bother watching our local news either.

8. I make it a point not to even watch the local news
It rarely says anything worth knowing in the first place. TV news be it local or national is a joke.

9. Don't watch the T-day parade coverage then... much more of the same.
I tuned in for about three minutes, and it's just a really long commercial, with floats, bands and balloons.

12. Yeah, I noticed that too. They even sent a reporter out to cover the line at Toys'R'Us
Like it was something important.

But to be fair, they act that way whenever a cow gets loose here, too.
