Ancient Headline: c. Nov. 13th, 2006--'Voters Send Message, Time for Change'

Voters want a change, and, more important, citizens want representatives who listen to and act on constituents' wishes rather than the direction of partisan leadership.

Our leaders must recognize that right vs. left, conservative vs. liberal are not the average Americans' concerns. Right and wrong are what concern us. That's where our leaders need to focus. The time for real leadership is now. Americans have no interest in being represented by individuals whose primary concern is political correctness.

Americans no longer will tolerate the direction the president has taken this country. It's time for a change. It's time for the president to lead a government that is "for the people and by the people." Tuesday's elections were a clear signal that "the people" are ready to take control of their government.

In short, Americans are ready to get back to basics and resolve the issues that face each of us daily, rather than having those issues ignored while our leaders try to solve the world's problems. We can only hope that our elected officials are prepared to embrace that tide.

Cue the music:

"Those were the days my friend,
We thought they'd never end,
We'd sing and dance, forever and a day,
We'd live the life we choose,
We'd fight and never lose,
Those were the days, Oh yes those were the days".

6. Just think, we could have strong levees by now.
6 months would have been long enough to fix them, but here we are, a few days from the beginning of hurricane season and our levees are STILL FUCKED UP!!!!!!!!

Does America really even give a fuck about us?!?

My Magic 8 Ball says: "NO!"
