This Social Security thing is breaking big... as predicted... and its scary
..watch between Thanksgiving and Xmas.. they are going to stick-it-to-us big time while the masses engage in the Black Friday and Cyber Monday feeding frenzy.

Mr. Obama.. shame..shame for throwing us under the bus with Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles.

1. There will be a huge outcry
and the GOP will steer it directly at Obama and all Democrats.

2. Bingo!
That's my prediction as well. The only thing I'll add is that the GOP will use the CORPORATE MEDIA to help steer the mess directly into the laps of Democrats.

6. And this is why

The Democratic Party is weak. The few Democratics that actually get interviewed on air need to let out a shrill piercing scream of: The Republicans are doing this!

We don’t go on the offensive - -Jeez – we really need Howard Dean Back. He’s very good at creating mantras and perception . . .

9. One thing to keep in mind: This commission's recommendations are non-binding.
It can't pass any legislation. Simpson and Bowles can propose unpopular ideas like cutting Medicare and Social Security benefits because they don't have to worry about getting elected. None of it matters unless our legislators and President pass it into law.

10. It sets the terms of debate

All options will be measured from it. As we can see the political class and the media are all on board, NPR beating the drum so loud as to be unlistenable.
