Tax cuts or war. Can't have both, Republicans. We can't afford it. |
|
Pick one, Thugs.
I suggest that you give up your greed.
One or the other, fuckwads

1. Geez, do you have to get so nasty? |

There's no need to insult people. Most Republicans are honest people who just happen to disagree with you. I'd say it's more sensible to cut the Pentagon budget in half, let the taxes go up (and this is going to cost me because I make pretty good money), and also cut government spending elsewhere. I am sure that if you guys let me, I can cut the budget by $400 billion real easy.
Regarding social security, the one thing I would do is freeze increases for a couple of years, and also put in a system to make older folk exercise and diet - for example, give them a cash reward if they meet certain performance criteria such as XX weight or having YY cholesterol. This will get them healthier and their medical care will be a lot lower in the future.

2. Dude, I have been fighting this war since 2001 |

Let me guess - a converted Republican that still has hopes that there are nice Republicans?
Guess what, there are no more nice Republicans. They went extinct a long time ago, when Lincoln Chaffee decided to quit the party.
I am a Democratic socialist by definition, yes, I'm left of Bernie Sanders. I want things that works, not things that does not work. War does not work. Tax cuts to the rich does not create jobs, and thus does not work. The reason of deficit since 2000? All Chimp.
He has done absolutely nothing for 8 years for US, and you're telling me to be nice? Well, no more Mr. Nice Guy.
Do not taunt the Happy Fun Ball.

If you are talking about republicans who are in congress, then NO, they are not honest people, they lie through their teeth. Now if you are talking about the average republican who is NOT a millionaire, they may be honest people, but they are mostly brainwashed by the right wing morons like Limbaugh, Beck, Palin and the rest of the fox news gang of idiots, and honest or not being gullible enough to buy into that crap is a big problem! Now if you are talking about the republicans who are millionaires, they pretty much only care about the fact they have theirs, so who cares about anyone else! And then we come down to the "corporations" who are republicans, and according to the Supreme court are also "people", they want to rule the world and make everyone else their slaves, not honest one bit!
Now if you want to cut the deficit you don't do it on the backs of the poor, the old and the needy. The rich have been making out pretty damned well while the rest of the country is suffering, so I think it's time they start paying more, complaining less, and thinking they deserve more while millions of people barely make it from pay day to pay day, and millions more have no jobs at all!

5. My 89-year-old mother goes to the gym. |

Doesn't do a damn bit of good for her cancer, however.
Performance criteria for the arthritic? The people with slipped disks? WHAT AN ASSININE, SMUG, UNTRAVELED worldview of aging.

7. They have already frozen SS for the past 2 years. Yet... |
|
Cost of living keeps going up. I think Seniors were the first to have their income frozen. And sure lets just become more of a nanny state by control of Seniors weight, etc.
Yep, you are really a social-critic. Geeze, do you hear yourself?
