Full-Scale Replica Of Noah's Ark Planned for outside Cincinnati
Editor's Note: This story comes from CNN Affiliate WLWT in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Creation Museum will announce details Wednesday afternoon of its planned expansion.

Answers In Genesis, which built and operates the religious-themed attraction, plans to build a full-scale wooden replica of Noah's Ark based on biblical descriptions.

The $24.5 million project will be constructed by the same team that built the Creation Museum.

The religious ministry is soliciting online donations to help construct the project, which they expect to draw an estimated 1.6 million visitors per year.

Ken Ham, president and CEO of Answers In Genesis, cites poll data showing that an estimated 63 percent of Americans would visit a full-scale replica of Noah's Ark if one were built in the U.S.

5. There's a very rough description in Genesis.
I guess it will be like the replica Mayflower and Santa Maria. The details will be speculative, except more so since we have a good idea of how 15th and 17th century ships were.

2. Then they're going to round up pairs of the 300,000 species of beetles there are.
Don't forget the penquins.

3. The morons will "flock" to this, seeking their version of truth. Hope the Ark comes with genuine
droppings from the multitude of pairs of animals.

And they better make sure that none of those animal "couples" are gay.

6. Whatever size their ark purports to be, it would be incapable of holding 2 of each type of beetle
from this planet. Silly Freepers.

4. Did you know that the reason Noah got all the dinosaurs on the ark was that he
took 2 of each type of baby dinosaur? This fun "fact" thanks to the Creation "Museum" near Petersburg, Kentucky,

7. The Lewis Black school of tourist attractions
Lewis Black has a great rant on tourist attractions that are little more than a Big Fucking Thing. In order to qualify as such an attraction, it must be a Thing, it must be Big, and it must be Fucking. People will see ads and brochures for the Big Fucking Thing, and say, "We gotta go to Ohio and see the Big Fucking Thing!"

This sounds like precisely what Mr. Black was talking about.

12. I'm not aware of any loss of my civil liberties due to the building of an ark
But then, my civil liberties are pretty durable, and while I have to remind myself and others of them from time to time, they tend to abide.

8. If these mouthbreathers believed in science, they'd know the smallest, slowest,
most useless subatomic particle is the moron, named in honor of them. (Okay, so I made that up just like the Noah story.)

10. I wonder how many homeless the good Christians of
the Creationist Museum could feed with that money instead?

11. And when people look at it . . .
. . . .and realize that not even a small percentage of existing pairs of animals can fit on it, will they think?
Nope.
