Am I missing something?

Several people I know in the military (and a few who were recently discharged) have been bashing Obama regularly about him "fucking them over" on Facebook. I don't know anything in particular but I do know that it either involves pay or benefits. I'm just not sure why they would be so upset. It could be just because a black man is President, but I don't know. Any thoughts?

I've known the person who posted the thing about Obama this evening for plus or minus 15 years. I didn't realize that's how he felt about Obama. I saw your post, and between the question and the username, my first thought was that the name was missing a "t" - which is really the only reason I replied at all.

Since I was replying, I thought I should also reply to your question. I don't really understand facebook - people will "friend" people they don't actually know at all. But you said people you knew, so my thought was, if you know them, and you're confused about what they're complaining about, ask them - you'll almost certainly get better answers than the guesses people here can provide. We haven't read the specific complaints, how could we do other than guess?
